A few ways to care for your gel manicure

Everyday life can be tough on your nails. A little care at home can help your gel manicure stay looking its best, though wear time varies from person to person.

  • Wear gloves for dishes and cleaning. They help protect your manicure from long stretches in water and household cleaners.
  • Use cuticle oil if you have it. A small amount can help keep the skin around your nails feeling comfortable.
  • Let your nails be nails. Try not to use them to open packages, scrape labels, or pry things apart.
  • Choose a length that works for your day. If your nails keep catching on things, a shorter shape may feel easier to manage.
  • Skip the peeling. If your polish is lifting or you're ready for a change, contact the salon about removal instead of picking it off.

Have a question about caring for your set? Ask your nail technician at your next visit.

Gel, dip, or acrylic: where to start

There isn't one right choice for everyone. Think about the look you want and how you use your hands day to day, then ask your technician if you're unsure.

  • Gel / Shellac: a smooth, glossy color option for a neat, polished look. Ask us which manicure or pedicure options include it.
  • Dip powder: a powder-color service available with or without tips. It's worth asking about if you want to explore an alternative to regular polish.
  • Acrylic: an enhancement option with full sets and refills, plus finishes such as pink and white, ombre, and color tips.

Bring a photo if you have a particular shape or finish in mind. We'll talk through the options and pricing with you before getting started.

Family

Planning a first salon visit with your child

A first manicure or pedicure can be a fun little outing together. Our menu includes services for children under 12; if you have questions about what to choose, give us a call before you come in.

  • Let your child help choose a color. Having a small choice to make can make the visit feel more familiar.
  • Tell us it's their first visit. We can explain the service as we go and help you decide what feels comfortable.
  • Keep the plan simple. A basic service can be a nice way to see how your child enjoys the salon.
  • Stay close by. A familiar grown-up can help a child feel settled while they get used to a new place.

Every child is different, so there's no need to rush. We're happy to answer questions and help you find an option that suits your family.
